The Shmeeks have been around for quite a while, but really got organized just over the summer. They claim themselves as Happy Punk, trying to bring happiness back into the local scene since so many bands..well, aren't happy. They have an upbeat sound with happy meanings in all their songs. The Shmeeks first entered the world at The End of Summer Bash at their friend's Devin's house, which was a gig to finish off Summer, ever since they first went on, people have loved their music, and continue to. They have 4 originals so far, with 2 covers. The band consists of 3 people: AJ Wash, Alicia Pfaff, and Mike Butterly. AJ is the crazy one who just goes insane on stage (as shown during <insert title here>, when he has a seizure for the outro), and usually writes the lyrics. Alicia promotes the happy icon the most, being the one to create all the icons and background on their page. Mike is the best we know for making great drum beats that have a punk feel, but also the dancing build up that makes everyone want to party. With these 3 together, a crazy happy punk blast is born!
